Artifacts
We are currently looking for:
- materials (uniforms, log books, newsletters, other physical
artifacts related to the Penhold base, especially during the war years,
NATO years and early RCAF/CFB Penhold years);
- stories (life on the base, interaction with civilian community,
general impressions of the area by trainees from other countries,
backgrounds of base personnel, experiences after leaving the base, how
the training impacted their lives -- recorded audio or video stories
would be especially welcome);
- photos and video (planes, buildings, actual training, life on
the base).
If possible, each contribution should be accompanied by a story (who,
what, why, where, how).
Our primary goal in the collection of artifacts is to construct a series
of interactive presentations of what life was like during the different
periods of the base.
